Ritz-Carlton opens in Kyoto

JAPAN - The fourth Ritz-Carlton hotel in Japan opened this month in the city of Kyoto with an introductory package for its first guests.

The package, which starts from 75,000 yen (S$929), includes accommodation in a luxury suite, breakfast for two and a set of Pierre Herme Paris macarons. The package is valid for stays until March 20.

The resort is on the banks of the Kamogawa River in Nijho Ohashi and is close to Kyoto's retail and entertainment districts. It has a spa by the foot of a waterfall as well as Japanese and Italian restaurants. It also offers tours to cultural sights in the city, such as the Shunkoin Temple and the Anrakuji Temple.
