School lunch or prison meal? You won't be able to tell the difference

Can you tell which of these meals are served in prison and which are fed to students in schools? Probably not.

Lifestyle blog Cavemencircus.com compiled a list of photos and got people to guess which meals are served in US schools and which you can find at prisons.

It was hard to tell them apart, which was probably the point of the exercise.

But more importantly, it drove home the message that school lunches these days are dull and unhealthy.

In fact, some may argue that the prison meals appear a shade more appetising than the food served in school.

According to Business Insider, more students are eating school-catered lunches instead of home-cooked meals, and sadly, those who eat school lunches are at a higher risk for being overweight.

Should this be the kind of food that we should be feeding kids of the next generation?
