Shape run fun for mums and kids

A FAMILY that runs together stays together.

For the first time in the women-only running event, mothers and their children under 10 took part in the non-competitive 1.8km Me and Mini Me segment at yesterday's annual Shape Run.

In its ninth year, the race is organised by Shape Singapore, a publication of SPH Magazines. The route started and ended at Nicoll Highway.

Some 9,000 women took part this year.

Thirteen contestants from this year's Miss Singapore International pageant, along with 14 past pageant winners, completed 5km to raise $10,000 for charity.
