Good for each other?

Good for each other?

Not everything is going downhill for the Biebs - at least when it comes to love.

Last we heard, the "Jelena" world was in shambles after repeated make-ups and break-ups between young pop idols Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez, who started dating in 2011.

Bieber, 20, had allegedly sent Gomez, 21, a slew of horrible text messages in January, branding her a "b****" after a bid to win her affection failed.

In his latest bratty deposition video, questions on whether he had discussed his feelings about the paparazzi with the US singer-actress, were met with an overly dramatic response from him: "Don't ask me about her again."

But clearly, Gomez's resolve has weakened in the past two months with reports saying that the couple have rekindled their romance.

Yes, for the nth time.

But who's counting?

Gomez, who cancelled concert dates in Australia and Asia last December and then checked into rehab for "emotional issues", was captured on two videos performing a steamy choreographed dance routine with Bieber to John Legend's Ordinary People.

The videos, posted on his Instagram account, were swiftly deleted.

Then there's their latest romp in Texas, US, where Bieber was rumoured to have flown to be with her.

He was said to have attended her post-rehab comeback show last Saturday, a day after the pair were spotted having breakfast at eatery Don Pepe's and during a PDA-heavy laser tag date.

On Sunday, he further fuelled reunion rumours when he dedicated a song during his surprise performance at the 2014 South By Southwest Festival in Texas to his "baby" (most likely referring to Gomez, who was apparently backstage).

How exactly did Bieber manage to win her over after being such a jerk?

With US$10,000 (S$13,000) worth of flowers apparently, sent after he posted a photo of her at the Vanity Fair Oscar party earlier this month on his Instagram account and called her the "most elegant princess in the world".

PARENTS UNHAPPY

But her parents, according to reports, are "vehemently" opposed to the idea.

A source told RadarOnline: "It's definitely against (their) wishes. But they don't have any control over her. She's pulling the 'Who makes the money around here?' card."

The coming together of Jelena is something some fans dread, based on Twitter chatter.

@TheBiebsStyles posted: "if jelena collab i swear i will not even listen to the song bc i already know selena's gonna ruin it. she ruins EVERYTHING."

Another fan, @OurCanadianHope, said: "as hard as I try to like jelena, I can't. #confession".

But others are happy, with @BaBeeandMe even jumping the gun to say that there's a "beautiful baby set for Jelena".

Local Beliebers we spoke to have been largely supportive.

Nur Hayati Hassan, a 17-year-old student, said Gomez "might be a good influence" on her idol.

Student Daman Preet Kaur, 18, added: "I've always been a fan of Selena, having watched her shows growing up. I like her and it's good that they are back together."
