Japanese bar hostess earns more monthly than you make in a whole year

Working as a hostess in Japan can be extremely lucrative, if you have the gift of the gab.

Meet Emiri Aizawa, AKA Mimi Ichigo, top hostess from Japan's glitzy Shinjuku district.

Each night, she sits at bars to drink and have conversations with different men, who gladly pay by the hour to enjoy her company.

In addition to pouring the drinks, she has to light their cigarettes, listen to them pour their hearts out and laugh at their jokes.

Mimi is so popular that she is the most hotly requested hostess, with her week booked solid entertaining guests.

So how much does it all pay? A whopping $125,000 a month.

Of course, the job has its downsides as well - Mimi often has to fend off her tipsy customers' sexual advances.
