Misspelling in shoes for Taylor Swift tour

Looks like Taylor Swift may indeed be a little Red in the face during her upcoming Asian tour.

One of the designs for the limited-edition Keds sneakers being released for the Asian leg of her Red Tour has a glaring misspelling of the city Kuala Lumpur.

It's "Kuala Lampur" instead that is repeated all over the design, next to other city names including Singapore, Manila, Tokyo and Shanghai.

The 24-year-old US country-pop star will be bringing her Red Tour to Asia in June, with sold-out stops in Kuala Lumpur on June 11 and Singapore on June 12.

Malaysian fan Hazmi spotted the mistake on Sunday after a picture of the sneakers was posted online by a US Taylor Swift fan group.

Tweeting as @cornettoREDts, he posted: "OMG THATS A TYPO OR WHAT KUALA LAMPUR OH MY GODDDDD".(sic)

Other fans chimed in, with one saying "this is so sad ..." while another tweeted "#brbdying" ('be right back, dying').

Mr Hazmi, a college student from Kuala Lumpur, told The New Paper via e-mail that he was shocked and a little embarrassed at first, but is now "okay as they only misspelled one (letter)".

"Most of the fans don't think this is a big deal. If (someone) can fix it, it would be much better, if not, it's okay for me," he said.
