New kid on the Block may star in two epic movies

Attack The Block star John Boyega is reportedly being eyed for a role for both the new Star Wars movie and the Terminator reboot.

The news was revealed via the Twitter feed of writer Borys Kit, who works for The Hollywood Reporter.

Kit said that Boyega is wanted for Terminator: Genesis, in the role of Miles Dyson, the engineer largely responsible for the birth of Skynet, the self-aware intelligence system which is the main villain in the Terminator franchise.

Boyega has also done a screen test for Star Wars: Episode VII, which is being directed by J. J. Abrams.

The 22-year-old British actor first shot to fame in the 2011 cult science-fiction film Attack The Block, which was about a group of youths defending their public-housing block from aliens.
