Billboard has released its annual list of the highest-paid musicians of 2013.
Taking the top spot is seven-time Grammy winner Taylor Swift, who raked in almost US$39.7 million (around S$50.4 million) last year. Following behind is fellow country singer Kenny Chesney who earned close to US$33 million. At third place is singer-turned-actor Justin Timberlake, whose approximately US$31.5-million revenue was led by his two-part album, The 20/20 Experience.
Rounding out the top five are Bon Jovi and the Rolling Stones, who earned over US$29 million and US$26 million respectively. The rock veterans generated most of their money from touring.
Rankings are based on US earnings, calculated from touring, recorded-music sales, publishing royalties and revenue from digital music and video streaming.
