A 13-year-old girl was injured yesterday (Feb 16) after a tree fell on the car she was travelling in along Punggol Road at around 6pm.
Reader Jivin alerted Stomp to the incident as his sister was the driver and his niece was the one who was injured.
Said the reader: "My sister was driving when she saw a tree falling.
"She attempted to accelerate to avoid an accident but the tree fell on the centre and rear of the car.
"The rear window glass was shattered which injured her daughter.
"The ambulance arrived to take her to hospital for her injuries.
"It was not raining, there was no reason for the tree to fall suddenly like that."
