2 more to be charged for robbing moneychanger in Aljunied

SINGAPORE - Two more suspects have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery that took place in Aljunied Crescent last Wednesday.

They were arrested in Malaysia with assistance from the Royal Malaysia Police, pursuant to a warrant of arrest issued by the State Courts and were extradited back to Singapore yesterday.

Cash of about US$30,000 (S$38,700) was also seized as case exhibits.

The suspects, aged 27 and 28, will be charged in court tomorrow.

Another suspect, Annadurai Raman, 42, was charged last Saturday over the case, in which five men took more than $600,000 in cash from moneychanger Ali Yousouf Saiboo's vehicle at the carpark of Block 110 Aljunied Crescent.
