2014 GCE 'O' Level results to be released next Monday

SINGAPORE - The 2014 Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level (GCE 'O' Level) Examination results will be released on Monday, Jan 12, announced the Ministry of Education in a statement today.

School candidates will be able to collect their results from their schools at 2pm on that day. Private candidates will be notified of their results by post, and will also be able to access their results online.

The Joint Admissions Exercise (JAE) for students who wish to apply to Junior Colleges, Millenia Institute, Polytechnics or the Institute of Technical Education will also open after the results are released.

The JAE registration will be open from 3pm on Jan 12 to 4pm on Jan 16 (Friday). Applicants are to submit their applications online.

An application fee of $7 will be charged for applicants' first application, while an additional $10 will be charged for amendments to submitted applications. Applicants are only allowed one amendment to their submitted applications.

The posting results of the JAE application is tentatively scheduled for Jan 29.

Students may also choose to participate in the Joint Polytechnic Special Admissions Exercise (JPSAE), which allows Polytechnics to consider applicants based on factors other than academic performance.

The JPSAE will be conducted concurrently with the JAE. The posting results for the JPSAE tentatively scheduled for release on Jan 30.
