21-year-old accused of attempted armed robbery in Woodlands Point

SINGAPORE - A 21-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly attempting to rob a woman at knifepoint in a Woodlands mall last year.

The female sales assistant working at a unit in Woodlands Point reported that an unknown man had attempted to rob her on Sept 15.

Police arrested the suspect on Monday (Jan 25).

He will face court on Wednesday for the offence of attempted armed robbery, which carries a jail term of up to 14 years and a minimum of 12 strokes of the cane.
