236 people nabbed in blitz against crime

A total of 236 people were arrested for illegal activities in a six-day joint enforcement blitz that started last Tuesday.

Checks were conducted on illegal massage parlours at Jalan Besar and public entertainment outlets in areas like Beach Road and Marina Bay.

A total of 180 were nabbed for employment offences, while 10 outlets were found to have contravened public entertainment licensing conditions.

The operation was led by the Central Police Division and included officers from the Criminal Investigation Department and Traffic Police.
