3 airlines waive rebooking fees for flight tickets to and from Jakarta

SINGAPORE - In light of the bomb blasts that killed two civilians, five attackers and wounded 15 others in Jakarta on Thursday (Jan 14), some airlines have announced that they will waive rebooking fees for passengers with flight tickets to or from the city.

Singapore Airlines (SIA), Tigerair Singapore and Jetstar said their flights to and from Jakarta are operating normally.

SIA said in a statement that the waiver is valid for tickets issued on or before Jan 14, for travel to or from Jakarta up to Jan 20. Rebooked travel should commence by Jan 31.

These guidelines will also apply for redemption tickets, the airline added.

Customers may contact their local SIA Reservations Office at http://www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/contact-us/ for assistance.
