3 teenagers arrested for robbery at Jurong

SINGAPORE - Police have arrested three teenagers who attempted to rob a 31 year old man at Jurong West St 91 on Feb 23.

At around 8.15pm, the male victim was assaulted by three male teenagers, aged between 16 and 17. The trio delivered the victim with punches and kicks, and took off with his wallet.

The victim later recovered and gave chase, eventually detaining one of the suspects in the ensuing pursuit.

The detained suspect was subsequently arrested by officers from Jurong Police Division, while the remaining two suspects were caught within four hours of the report.

The three suspects will be charged in Court on Feb 25.

If convicted, they face a jail term up to 20 years and up to 12 strokes of the cane.
