The police said that no weapons were found and no other suspects were identified or arrested.

According to neighbours interviewed by Shin Min Daily News, it is understood that Lim is a pimp who frequented Geylang Lorong 21.

The neighbours added that Lim, whom they know as "Jack", could be seen bringing home sexily dressed women of "Vietnamese, Chinese, Thai and Myanmar" descent in the early hours of the morning to his flat.

If convicted, Lim could face the death penalty or life imprisonment, and is liable for caning.
