51-carat yellow diamond among rare gems at Singapore International Jewellery Expo 2017

SINGAPORE - Razzle dazzle among rare gemstones from around the world at the third Singapore International Jewelry Expo, which will be held this week from July 6 to 9 at the Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre.

This year, there will be a special showcase of rare jewellery pieces, such as a 51-carat yellow diamond, a 20-carat oval Internally Flawless diamond, a 28.58-carat emerald cut diamond ring and a 10-carat natural unheated Burma pigeon blood ruby.

Admission to the exhibition is free and some 15,000 visitors are expected to visit the expo that will be showcasing over 500 pieces of specially commissioned limited edition jewellery sourced from all over the world.

Jewellers from 25 countries will be exhibiting their gems and accessories. Some of these countries include Italy, India, Myanmar, Indonesia and Japan, among others, while newcomers Portugal and Mongolia will also be at the exhibition.

Besides gemstones and jewellery, two jewellery fashion shows will be held on Thursday and Saturday at 3pm. On Thursday, the opening show will feature outfits by Thomas Wee and jewellery by leading exhibitors, while on Saturday, participants can check out a Qipao Fashion Show by Mazzario by Mimi.

Lucky draws will also be held daily across the four days, where three winners will walk away with an Italian pendant from Jocalia by Zenith Affair. The piece is encrusted with semi-precious stones and comes with a gold-plated silver necklace.
