66 arrested in multi-agency joint enforcement crackdown

SINGAPORE - 66 suspects were arrested over the last three days from Dec 16-18 as part of a "multi-agency joint enforcement operation", according to the police.

938 people and 656 vehicles were inspected at multiple locations, including land checkpoints, over the 3-day operation.

The operation was led by Jurong Division and supported by Traffic Police (TP), Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB), Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).

During the operation, law enforcement officers rounded up 66 suspects for offences such as suspected involvement in vice activities, voluntarily allowing their bank accounts to be utilised by unlicensed moneylenders, drug and immigration offences.

Investigations against all the suspects are ongoing.
