Accident involving several vehicles on CTE causes massive jam

SINGAPORE - Two people have been taken to the hospital following an accident involving several vehicles along the Central Expressway (CTE) on Friday (Feb 19) morning.
The accident happened before the entrance of the Cairnhill Tunnel, in the direction Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE), causing a massive jam.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the accident at around 9.30am.
In a tweet at 9.50am, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) said that the accident had occurred after the Bukit Timah Road exit, and informed road users to avoid lanes 1 and 2.
The congestion stretched until the Ang Mo Kio Avenue 5 exit at around 10.13am.

A spokesperson said that the two casualties were taken to Singapore General Hospital.
