Another partner for a historic Games

The 28th South-east Asia (SEA) Games, which will be held here from June 5 to 16, is set to feature a host of milestones.

And one of the country's most recognisable brands is now on board to help rewrite the history books.

Pilot Pen Singapore yesterday announced its support with a $500,000 sponsorship, making it the Official Writing Instruments Partner of the Games. The deal will see Pilot Pen provide over 150,000 writing instruments and accessories for the 2015 SEA Games.

Tan Chin Huat, managing director of Pilot Pen Singapore, said: "We are thrilled to be part of the prestigious 28th SEA Games and to support Singapore as it plays host to the region's biggest multi-sport event.

"Over the past 20 years, Pilot has been a firm supporter of the sports community and we are actively involved in local sporting events that aim to nurture young talent who aspire to represent Singapore on a national level.

SUPPORT

"We are pleased to continue that tradition and lend our support to the Games."

A total of 748 athletes are set to represent the Republic, the largest contingent in Singapore's SEA Games history.

The opening ceremony on June 5 at the National Stadium will feature the world's largest projection system in any sporting event to date.

And Pilot Pen will be there to record it all down.

Said Singapore SEA Games Organising Committee chairman Lim Teck Yin: "We are deeply appreciative of Pilot Pen's continuing support for sport and their commitment to joining us on the SEA Games and SG50 journey.

"We are excited to have a household name on board to Celebrate the Extraordinary with us and create a memorable Games that all Singaporeans can be proud of."
