Budding young artists raise funds for home

Toddler Byan Yan shows an early interest in art at an exhibition of around 200 artworks created by children at EtonHouse's Hampton Pre-School.

The 23-month-old joined his mother Cheryl Yan-Tan and pre-school teachers Guan Rui Ping and Katherine Ong at the Bishan school last Friday to view pieces that included a patchwork quilt and puppets.

They were created after the pre-schoolers took part in a heritage project piloted by the Early Childhood Development Agency and National Heritage Board. About 120 works were auctioned to raise funds for Lee Ah Mooi Old Age Home.
