Cabby found dead in vehicle at Pasir Ris Close

SINGAPORE - A taxi driver was found dead in his vehicle at a car park along Pasir Ris Close this morning at around 6am.

Lianhe Wanbao reported that passers-by noticed a motionless man in the silver Premier taxi, and contacted the police after failing to rouse him.

The deceased was found reclining in the driver's seat. The cause of death is yet to be determined, but there are speculations that he suffered a heart attack.

A police spokesman said in a statement that the police received a call for assistance this morning, and that the deceased is a Chinese man in his fifties.
