Caught on video: Car smashes into m-cyclist at Jurong Town Hall Rd

SINGAPORE - One man was sent to the hospital following a chain collision involving a motorcycle, a van and three cars at Jurong Town Hall Road on July 31.

Shocking footage of the accident shows the 29-year-old motorcyclist being thrown into the air after a white car smashed into the rear of his motorcycle.

The white Honda then continued to charge forward, hitting the car in front before crashing into the divider and landing on the other side of the road.

A second video shows the second car crashing into a van in front.

The motorcyclist, who landed on his back, managed to get up on his feet and walked for a short distance before sitting down on a curb. He appeared distraught and shocked as he removed his helmet.

Meanwhile, the driver of the van which was hit could be seen running towards the Honda on the other side of the road.

A police spokesperson said that the motorcyclist was taken to National University Hospital.

According to the YouTube user who uploaded the video, the driver of the white Honda did not check on the motorcyclist but left his vehicle in the middle of the road and fled the scene.

Police investigations are ongoing.
