Chingay floats to the heartland

Residents waving and snapping pictures as a float carrying Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean and grassroots advisers made its way along Hougang Avenue 4 last night.

Also on the float were fellow Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC MPs Penny Low, Gan Thiam Poh, Janil Puthucheary and Zainal Sapari.

Chingay@Heartlands, organised by Pasir Ris- Punggol and Punggol East grassroots organisations, took 12 floats through Punggol, Sengkang and Hougang for the first time.

Residents were also treated to fringe activities and performances including a pole balancing act, getai and a bubble show.
