The 58-year-old man did not admit to the charge when he appeared before the court. He has been remanded for a week at Central Police Division for further investigations.

Murder at Choa Chu Kang Avenue 2

Singapore - Police received a call for assistance at Block 296A, Choa Chu Kang Avenue 2 on Thursday at about 4am.

Upon Police's arrival, a 41-year-old woman was found lying unconscious in a unit of the said block. She was subsequently pronounced dead by SCDF paramedics at 4.32am.

A 58-year-old man has been arrested in relation to the case that has been classified as Murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, which carries the death penalty. Investigations are ongoing.

According to a statement from the police on Aug 8, the suspect will be charged in court on Aug 9 at 9am.
