Couple dead, maid injured after dispute at Yuan Ching Road condominium

SINGAPORE - A couple died following a slashing case reported at Yuan Ching Road on Friday morning where three people were found injured, reported The Straits Times. 

According to a statement from the police, the case involved a domestic worker and her employers at the home. Media outlets reported that the couple had got into a dispute and their 37-year-old Filipino maid tried to intervene.

According to the Singapore Civil Defence Force, a call was received at about 8am, and three ambulances were dispatched to the scene at the condominium, Parkview Mansions.

Said the statement from the police: "On January 30 at 7.56am, police received a call for assistance at Park View Mansion located at 9D Yuan Ching Road.

"Upon police’s arrival, a 37-year-old female victim was found injured arising from an earlier dispute at her employer's home and she was conveyed to National University Hospital. Shortly after, police found a 37-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman, injured in a residential unit at the said condominium.

"Both were conveyed to NUH where they subsequently succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced dead. They are believed to be involved in the earlier dispute."

Police investigations are ongoing.
