Couples take Descendants of the Sun-inspired photos at RSAF Open House

SINGAPORE - Ever wanted to act out your favourite scenes from hit Korean TV series Descendants of the Sun?

Four lucky couples got that very opportunity at the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) Open House recently.

The photographs, featuring four different couples in various poses, were posted by RSAF on Instagram and their Facebook page on Sunday (May 22).

One photograph saw married couple Captain Jonathan Lau and Major (Dr) Magdalene Lee re-enact the famous shoelace-tying scene from the series.

On Instagram, RSAF even quoted a line from episode six of the series, and paid tribute to Airforce personnel. "Every day, the Defenders of Our Skies work hard to protect us and safeguard Singapore. No one can do their job better than them - be it working under the sun and rain, or for long and odd hours early in the morning or late at night."

In the other pictures, the other couples took the opportunity to take wedding photos with some of the planes and helicopters that were on display.

The post has received over 3,200 likes and been shared over 200 times.

Since it was released, Descendants of the Sun, which stars Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo, has taken Asia by storm. It has inspired all sorts of things including wedding portraits, tour packages and parodies.
