In a Facebook post on its official page on Sunday (Jan 31), MOE cautioned the public to remain vigilant especially for transactional purposes and to use only the respective official websites for the polytechnics at www.sp.edu.sg, www.np.edu.sg, www.tp.edu.sg, www.rp.edu.sg and www.nyp.edu.sg for all needs concerning polytechnic matters.

According to MOE, access to the official websites for the five polytechnics remains unaffected.

In the Facebook post, it also mentioned that police reports have been filed by the polytechnics over the fake sites.

"We will work to bring down these websites and will continue to monitor for such websites," said MOE.

The ministry added: "Fake websites surface from time to time and we would like to remind members of the public to remain vigilant, especially for transactional purposes."
