DPM Teo to visit China from September 1 to 3

SINGAPORE - Deputy Prime Minister (DPM), Coordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Home Affairs Teo Chee Hean will be visiting the People's Republic of China from September 1 to 3, 2013.

He will be visiting Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, from September 1 to 2. There, he will meet with Guangdong Party Secretary Hu Chunhua and Guangdong Governor Zhu Xiaodan, and be hosted to dinner by Guangzhou Party Secretary Wan Qingliang.

DPM Teo will also be visiting the Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City.

From September 2 to 3, he will be leading the Singapore delegation for the 10th China-ASEAN Exposition (CAEXPO) in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

The theme of the 10th CAEXPO is "Regional Cooperation and Development: New Opportunities, New Driving Forces and New Stages". DPM Teo will deliver a speech at the Opening Ceremony of the 10th CAEXPO on September 3.

He will also be meeting with Premier Li Keqiang, Guangxi Party Secretary Peng Qinghua and Yunnan Governor Li Jiheng on the sidelines of the 10th CAEXPO.

DPM Teo will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
