SINGAPORE - The People's Action Party (PAP) has officially unveiled its candidate line-up for the Marine Parade Group Representation Constituency (GRC) for the coming general election.
Edwin Tong, a former MP for the Moulmein-Kallang GRC which has been dissolved under the new electoral boundaries, will be joining the five-member team, Channel NewsAsia reported.
The other four candidates are the GRC's anchor minister Tan Chuan-Jin, Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong, Fatimah Lateef, and Seah Kian Peng.
Tin Pei Ling, who was part of the PAP team that beat National Solidarity Party with a 56.6 per cent majority vote in the GRC in the 2011 general election, will be defending her MacPherson ward, which has been carved out as a single seat.
