An oil palm plantation worker was stabbed to death in Labis, Johor, after an argument broke out between two friends, Malaysia Nanban reported.
K. Nagarajan, 33, and his friend had just returned home from attending a religious celebration at a temple when an argument broke out which led to him being stabbed multiple times with a knife.
Nagarajan ran out of the house but collapsed and died.
He had been working in the estate for four months, according to the estate contractor.
The suspect has gone into hiding.
Segamat OCPD Supt Mohd Kamil Sukarmi said police were looking for the suspect who was believed to have two previous criminal convictions.
