Eunos Crescent killer litter suspect arrested

SINGAPORE - Police have arrested a 15 year-old teenager for suspected involvement in a series of rash acts in which several items were thrown down from his flat.

A police statement on Tuesday said that between June 22 and Dec 13, there were four cases of rash acts that involved items such as bricks, dumb bells and water dispenser being thrown from a unit from Block 1 Eunos Crescent.

Police officers established the identity of the suspect after extensive ground enquiries and follow-up investigations, and arrested the suspect in the vicinity of Eunos Crescent. 

Investigations are on-going. If found guilty, the suspect faces a jail term of up to one year, or a fine of up to $5,000, or both.

Commander of Bedok Police Division, Deputy Assistant Commissioner of Police (DAC) Alvin Moh commended his officers for the arrest and reiterated that the police will not hesitate to take firm action against those who commit callous acts that endanger the lives of others.
