Ex-SCDF Lieutenant-Colonel charged with stalking woman

A former Lieutenant-Colonel with the Singapore Civil Defence Force allegedly stalked a woman last August by making sexual advances in text messages sent to harass her.

On Wednesday (March 16) Goh Wee Hong, 39, was charged in court with unlawfully stalking the 28-year-old woman between Aug 27 and 30 last year, reported The Straits Times.

The woman involved in the case cannot be named due to a gag order.

Goh, who is married, is represented by Mr Tan Hee Joek, and intends to claim trial, added The Straits Times.

A pre-trial conference is scheduled for April 27.

If convicted under the Protection from Harassment Act, Goh can be fined up to $5,000 and jailed for up to 12 months.
