Extended hours for selected bus and train services during Chinese New Year period

SINGAPORE - Public transportation service hours will be extended for two Saturdays during the Chinese New Year festive period.

SMRT released a travel advisory today stating added service hours for selected trains and bus services in order to meet an increase in demand during the festive season.

On Jan 31 and Feb 14, the last trains towards Joo Koon, Pasir Ris, Marina Bay and Jurong East MRT stations will depart City Hall MRT station at 12.30am.

For the Circle Line, the last train towards HarbourFront MRT station will depart Dhoby Ghaut MRT station at 11.55pm whereas the last train towards Dhoby Ghaut MRT station will depart HarbourFront MRT station at 11.30pm.

Passengers on the last northbound train will be able to connect to the last Bukit Panjang LRT train at 1.31am.

Those taking the last trains will be able to make use of selected bus services from five interchanges due to the extended hours.

From Choa Chu Kang interchange, bus services 300, 302 and 307 will leave at 1.35am. At the same time, buses 901, 911, 912 and 913 will leave from Woodlands interchange.

Bus service 859A will leave Sembawang interchange at 1.40am.

Bus services 173A, 189A, 941, 945, and 947 will leave Bukit Batok at 1.45am. Bus services 804 and 812 will also leave at the same time from Yishun interchange.

Additionally, five bus services will be temporarily diverted because of the Chinese New Year Light-Up ceremony on Jan 31.

The affected bus services are 61, 190, 851, 961 and 970, from 2pm to 11pm.
