EZ-Link to give out over a million cards to replace expiring ones

SINGAPORE - Holders of adult ez-link cards that expire this year can have them exchanged with a new card for free at any TransitLink Ticket Office from now until Dec 31.

Remaining monies will be transferred from the old cards to the new ones, themed "Colour Your Journey", which do not carry any stored value.

EZ-Link has prepared more than a million cards for the giveaway.

Cardholders can also choose to purchase from a limited edition series of Justice League ez-link cards, to be launched on July 28. Each of the cards costs $3, which will be deducted from the remaining monies in the expiring ez-link cards.

Owners of expiring EZ-Reload cards will have their free cards mailed to them directly. They will get to enjoy rebates on the $0.25 convenience fee charged on their DBS/POSB credit or debit cards.

These services are all part of EZ-Link's new "Journey with EZ-Link" campaign.

Announced today, the six-month campaign is to thank cardholders for their role in the Cepas-enabled smartcard operator's "progress and development over the last 12 years from a transit card issuer to an innovative and technology-driven company".

The issuance of new PAssion ez-link cards and bank co-brand credit or debit cards with the ez-link function will be managed by the respective organisations.

Customers can find out the expiry dates of their cards on top-up receipts and from EZ-Link's website, General Ticketing Machines, Add Value Machines, SAM Machines, OCBC ATMs, AXS Stations and the My EZ-Link Mobile App which can be downloaded from the Google Play Store.
