Faster immigration clearance for eligible Australian passport holders: ICA

SINGAPORE - Eligible holders of Australian passports will be able to enrol for the enhanced-Immigration Automated Clearance System (eIACS) service in Singapore from Oct 1, 2015.

According to a statement from the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA), eligible holders of Singapore passports currently enjoy similar facilities in Australia.

Holders of Australian passports aged 6 and above who have visited Singapore at least 3 times in the past 12 months immediately before enrolment and have no adverse record in Singapore are eligible to enrol for eIACS, said the ICA.

They should bring along their Australian passport (with remaining validity of at least 6 months) and one recent colour passport-size photograph to the enrolment centres located at Changi Airport, Woodlands Checkpoint, Tuas Checkpoint and the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) Building to apply for this service.

Enrolment is on a voluntary basis and is free of charge. Applicants must bring along the relevant documents for the enrolment. Those aged 6 to 17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and present documentary proof of relationship.
