Ban Heng Air-Conditioned Restaurant

Fans of Teochew cuisine will be delighted to know that the restaurant provides home delivery at no charge even on Chinese New Year Eve.

Check out its Pen Cai ($188/$288) with ingredients such as cold crab, boiled prawns, black fish, dried oysters, goose meat, roast chicken, Chinese sausage, cured waxed meat and sea moss.

Also available is the Monk Jumps Over The Wall ($388/$688) comprising superior shark's fin, abalone, bamboo pith, mushrooms, dried scallops, sea cucumber, fish maw, pig's trotters, chicken and Chinese herbs.

Boon Lay Raja Restaurant

Indulge in the Lunar New Year Takeaway, available from Boon Lay Raja on Jan 30, which includes the Happy Abalone Seafood Varieties In A Fortune Pot ($238+/$388+).

In this meticulously prepared dish, premium 10head abalone and mushrooms are first braised in a special broth to absorb the flavours.

The same broth is then poured over all ingredients, such as sea cucumber and live tiger prawns, and the pot is stewed for at least two to three hours.

East Ocean Teochew Restaurant

East Ocean's Takeaway Specials include East Prosperity Treasure Pot ($268+/$498+), which is loaded with plenty of ingredients such as abalone, fish maw, sea cucumber, dried oyster, conpoy, black dace ball, deep fried fish maw, roasted meat, duck web, chicken, pork knuckle, Hong Kong flavoured Chinese sausage and liver sausage, mushroom, black moss, bean curd, lotus root and taro.

Also available is the Doubled Boiled Shark's Fin Soup with Chicken and Vegetable (right) ($198+) which serves four to six persons.

Hua Ting, Orchard Hotel Singapore

Indulge in Hua Ting's traditional Hua Ting Deluxe Pen Cai ($328/$598) served in a wooden container filled with a selection of Chinese New Year's delicacies.

Other dishes include Roast Suckling Pig and Crispy Roasted Duck ($72).

The restaurant also has plenty of specialities (below) that would make perfect gifts. These include Health 8 Treasures Nian Gao, Wealth Carrot Cake with Chinese Sausages, and Happiness Chestnut Cake with Osmanthus, priced at $30.80 each.

Li Bai's takeaway dishes stand out. These include the restaurant's new item - Stewed "Eight Treasures" Chicken with 5Head Abalone (below) ($298), where delicious roasted chicken encases eight treasures: lotus seed, Chinese mushroom, sea cucumber, salted egg, barley, pork and chestnut.

Decadently delicious is the Buddha Jumps Over The Wall ($438 for four), full of delicacies such as shark's fin, fish maw, sea cucumber, ginseng, scallop and abalone.

Man Fu Yuan, InterContinental Singapore

Man Fu Yuan's comprehensive menu comes complete with yusheng and traditional dishes.

Dishes to try include the Doubleboiled "Fu Zhou" Buddha Jump Over the Wall, which is loaded with ingredients such as whole abalone and fish maw, cooked over low heat for 48 hours. This, alongside wokfried glutinous rice and yusheng costs $688+ which serves five.

There is also its signature Deluxe Treasure Pot, which has 25 luxurious ingredients such as whole baby abalone, scallops, preserved meat sausage and Boston lobster. A spicy version is also available.

If you love suckling pig, go for Wan Hao Chinese Restaurant's Barbecued Whole Suckling Pig ($298), which is imported from Hunan and has a perfectly crisp, juicy skin and tender meat.

There is also the Wan Hao Deluxe Abalone Pen Cai (above) ($368/$588) with premium ingredients such as 5headed South African abalone. A vegetarian version ($288/$488) is also available.

Seafood International Market & Restaurant offers an array of dishes, such as Fortune Treasure Pot Pen Cai in Prosperity Basket ($228/$398), which is packed with premium ingredients like Australian abalone, fish maw, black moss and sea cucumber, stewed in a claypot of superior stock.

It comes with complimentary raw salmon yusheng, Sea Treasure Fried Rice wrapped with lotus leaf, and traditional nian gao.

TungLok has two choices of Treasure Bowls (Pen Cai), loaded with delicacies stewed in superior abalone sauce.
