Fire breaks out at Ang Mo Kio construction site

A fire broke out at a construction site near the junction of Yio Chu Kang Road and Ang Mo Kio Avenue 4 on Thursday afternoon (July 23).
A photo posted by Twitter user Keith Liu showed plumes of smoke rising from the site.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the fire at about 5.45pm and dispatched a fire engine, Red Rhino and fire bike to the scene.
Upon SCDF's arrival, the blaze had already been extinguished by workers with a water hose reel.
Channel NewsAsia reported that the wooden materials in the construction site were involved in the fire.
There were no injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
