Fire breaks out at Bukit Panjang MRT construction site opposite Junction 10

The SCDF said the fire, which involved wooden materials, was put out using three water jets in half an hour. No injuries were reported.

SINGAPORE - A fire broke out at a MRT construction site in Bukit Panjang, in front of Junction 10 shopping mall this morning at around 3am.

Stomp contributor Giselle says the area was shrouded in thick smoke, and contributed photos of the fire.

She wrote:

"Thick smoke and fire at the MRT construction site in front of Bukit Panjang's Junction 10, at around 3am.

"Firemen and police arrived at the scene. There were a total of seven fire engines at the scene.

"A construction worker was running around and shouting."
