SINGAPORE - A fire engulfed two double-story factory units in the Toa Payoh industrial park early Friday morning, said the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).
SCDF said in a Facebook post that it dispatched two fire engines, three red rhinos, eight support vehicles and one ambulance to the scene.
About 60 firefighters contained the raging fire using seven water jets, foam, an unmanned firefighting machine, and an aerial appliance.
SCDF added that the fire was brought under control within 90 minutes and extinguished at approximately 6.30am.
To prevent the rekindling of fire, SCDF is currently carrying out "damping down" operations which involve applying water to the hot, burnt surfaces after the fire is put out.
According to the SCDF, the fire involved laundry and paper products, as well as cartons of boxes.
No injuries were reported.
