Fire at Clementi flat, no one injured

SINGAPORE - A fire broke out from the master bedroom of a ninth-floor flat at Block 376, Clementi Avenue 4 today.

No one was injured in the fire, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said in a statement.

A contributor to citizen journalism website Stomp said that she heard two loud explosions and saw thick smoke billowing out of the unit.

The contributor, Catherine, added that the windows of the flats shattered, sending glass pieces spewing down.

SCDF said that they were alerted to the fire at about 1.20pm.
