Firefighters battle blaze at Jalan Teck Whye block's rubbish chute

Stomp contibutor Francis saw firefighters put out a fire at the central rubbish chute of Block 156 at Jalan Teck Whye at about 8.20pm yesterday (Nov 10).

The contributor had noticed the smell of burning rubber, and alerted the SCDF after he saw smoke coming out of the rubbish chute.

"The firefighters put out the blaze with a water hose," said Francis.
