Former bus driver fined $8,000 and banned from driving over fatal accident in Bedok

SINGAPORE - At the time, there was an oncoming bus travelling across the junction from the opposite direction. As soon as the bus had passed, Hanafi made a right turn into Bedok North Road. He failed to keep a proper lookout and did not see the 53-year-old pedestrian, knocking into him. Mr Soundarajan was pinned under the bus and was extricated by civil defence officers. He was pronounced dead at 6.53am.
