Friends set up trap for Carousell scammer to get their money back

A guy who got scammed by a user on Carousell came up with an ingenious plan to get his money back and he successfully pulled it off with his friends.

The group had recorded a Snapchat video, which has been circulating on Facebook, of what went on the entire time, including how they confronted the alleged scammer.

From the video, it appears that a guy named John had paid for an item on Carousell but did not receive it from the seller.

Hence, he used his friend's account to feign interest in another of the seller's items to trick the seller into showing up.

The seller did indeed turn up and was confronted by John, who gave him an ultimatum.

"I don't need anything from you. I just want my money back, or you give me the item. You decide," said John.

Left with no choice, the seller returned John his money.
