Government sources confirm that Mr Lee Kuan Yew is still alive

SINGAPORE - Rumours that Mr Lee Kuan Yew, 91, has died are untrue, government sources told The Straits Times on Wednesday night.

The misinformation started spreading online, including on social media channels like Twitter, on Wednesday about Mr Lee's demise.

On Feb 5, Former prime minister Lee Kuan Yew was hospitalised for severe pneumonia, and had been warded for two weeks to the Singapore General Hospital.
