Gray appeals against $20,000 fine for misconduct

SINGAPORE - Trainer Stephen Gray has been fined $20,000 for misconduct.

At the conclusion of an inquiry on Thursday, Gray was found guilty to a charge of misconduct in that on the morning of July 8, he behaved inappropriately by using inappropriate and offensive language when speaking in a raised voice, regarding the conditions and harrowing of Track 2, to K Philip Thomas, manager from Tracks Department.

On Friday, Gray exercised his right of appeal against the decision of the stipendiary stewards and the penalty imposed on him.

The appeal will be heard at a date to be fixed.
