SINGAPORE - Straits Times readers (from left) nurse Loh Chiat Sian, homemaker Georgina Chew and general practitioner Wee Hong Neo learning to create miniature gardens at a two-hour class on Sunday.
Under the guidance of three award-winning American designers, 18 ST readers were taught how to build scaled-down, table-top versions of life-sized gardens.
Twenty more ST readers will take part in a similar demonstration this Friday.
The readers were picked from almost 200 people who wrote in for a contest which asked them why they wanted to attend the workshops.
