Choosing furniture and home decor for your new abode can be a daunting task but it doesn't always have to be too complicated.

In fact, wouldn't it be much easier to do all your shopping and decision-making in one place? That's exactly where retail chain Harvey Norman comes in.

The brand has just expanded its Parkway Parade store so if you thought its previous space on the second floor was big, the new store looks set to impress as it now occupies another unit on the ground level of the shopping mall.

The brand new ground floor unit features furniture, bedding, homeware, audio visual, cameras, computers, games hub, connected health and fitness products and a photo centre.

Expect an extensive range of full leather and fabric sofas in the furniture department, as well as mattresses and bed frames from entry-level brands to premium ones (starting from $699 for a Queen-size mattress to over $20,000) in the bedding department.

In fact, each of the five popular brands - Hilker, King Koil, Sealy, Simmons and Tempur - will have its own gallery showcasing its premium mattresses making it even easier for customers to pick their favourite.

Customisation services are also available at this store, where bed frames can be tailored according to customer's preferences.

Harvey Norman's existing retail space on the second floor has been revamped to house its home and kitchen appliances.

The space will showcase built-in kitchen displays and cooking appliances from six major brands such as Miele, Smeg, Brandt, Bosch, Electrolux and Fisher & Paykel where customers can visualise the style and size as well as how the appliances will look in their home.

The Parkway Parade Superstore marks Harvey Norman's third store in Singapore apart from its Millenia Walk Flagship Superstore and Viva Business Park factory outlet to house all four of its departments - electrical, IT, furniture and bedding - under one roof.

The new full-fledged superstore is slated for an official opening on Saturday (Aug 26).

Managing director of Harvey Norman Singapore and Malaysia, Kenneth Aruldoss, said: "Our Parkway Parade store is now a full-fledged superstore, housing furniture, bedding, electrical and IT products under one roof. We are constantly looking at ways to enhance consumers' shopping experience by bringing greater convenience to them."
