High and dry in a parched land

Singapore's dry spell, which has lasted for several months now, shows no signs of abating and PUB, the national water agency, has been urging residents to start saving water. Some of its staff have even gone door-to-door or sent circulars to tell high-volume users to reduce their consumption of the precious resource. February was reported as the driest month the country had experienced since 1869.
