Households will get postcard to swop for SG Funpack

Households will be receiving a postcard from the People's Association that can be exchanged for a National Day goodie bag.

The SG Funpack will be distributed at events held by local grassroots organisations. They will send out letters from next week with details on the collection.

Every Singaporean and permanent resident household - about 1.2 million in all - will receive the goodie bag.

Grassroots leaders may make special arrangements to deliver the SG Funpack to senior residents and those who have difficulty getting around.

The SG Funpack tote bag comes in 50 different designs and will contain memorabilia that come straight out of a Singapore childhood of yesteryear.

The items include erasers printed with flags of various countries and capteh (weighted shuttlecock) and snacks such as muruku and haw flakes.

There will also be keepsakes such as a figurine of Singa, the iconic mascot of the Singapore Kindness Movement.

National Day Parade goers will receive a different funpack on that day.
